Koh Samui Dive Sites Information

Ko Samui is Thailand's third largest island and much of it is still covered by coconut plantations, verdant clad jungle and rugged mountains of granite that roll down into the cool clear waters of its azure sea. The island itself lays 35kms to the east of Surat Thani, its provincial mainland capital and measures 21km long by 25km wide.

Nowadays it is a preferred base for divers who are looking for an up-market western infrastructure in the Gulf of Thailand when compared to what's available on Koh Tao.

5-star resort accommodation, Tesco Lotus, two international hospitals, with two more on the way, an international re-compression chamber, an international airport, a golf course, banks, restaurants including all the major fast food chains such as McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Hagen-Daas, Baskin Robins plus extensive tour and adventure activities make Koh Samui a comfortable upcoming high-end resort destination and all of the dive sites that are dived from Koh Tao are accessible from Koh Samui though the dive journeys are longer.
